The newsletter
Subscribing is free. When you submit your email address you are asking us to send you the Somali Press newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue, and we will stop sending it.
Our content
Articles, headlines, curation and design on this site are the work of Somali Press and its contributors, and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote us with attribution and a link. You may not republish whole articles, or use our material to train commercial models or build a competing product, without written permission.
Where we summarise or link to reporting by other outlets, the copyright in that reporting stays with them. We credit our sources and we expect the same courtesy.
Guest posts and submissions
We welcome pitches at hi@somali.press. If we publish your work you keep the copyright in it, and you grant us a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to publish it on this site and in the newsletter, and to keep it in our archive. You confirm the work is yours, is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Accuracy and corrections
We work to get things right, but we publish quickly and we are not infallible. The site is provided as-is, without warranty, and nothing here is legal, financial or professional advice. If you spot an error, write to hi@somali.press and we will correct it and note the correction.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a volume that degrades service for other readers, submit other people's email addresses to our subscribe form, or use the site to break the law.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Somali Press is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
Changes
